kristaupher : That's a Wrap!

Over the past couple of years, I have received quite a few emails from online visitors and customers that comment and inquire on how I create a collection from start to finish. While most of it is driven from within, I typically adhere to a 5 step process that has served me well over the years.

As we move closer to the 2010 Autumn & Winter collection this September 22nd, I am happy to report that everything is on schedule. Tonight marked the completion of the Photography stage and all items are now photographed. It has been a long and hot 9 days but always worth the effort.

Next Tuesday will begin the "Media" phase where hundreds and sometimes over a thousand photos will be reviewed, reviewed again and narrowed down to only the best of the best for use in the kristaupher catalog, mailers and on kristaupher.com. By September 15th, the catalog and mailers will be off to the printer for production and kristaupher.com will be ready ready to present Autumn & Winter 2010 on September 22nd.

Beginning this January, I will be posting more on this topic and take you through the development and creation of my Autumn & Winter 2012 collection -- a journey that is sure to be interesting and I will bet that there will be a few surprises along the way! Stay Tuned!
